Moving Machines

With over 30 moulding machines on site and continuous investment into new and more efficient moulding machines, we have become quite adept at moving machines around our site in Oakham, Rutland.  Our dedication to continuous improvement means that we are always looking at ways to streamline our process and reduce our energy requirements where possible to minimise our environmental impact.

We have a wide range of moulding machines, which means that we can produce a wide range of plastic products for our customers, from parts weighing as little as 1g up to 40kg in weight and 1.5m in size.

The moulding machines on-site fit into the following categories:

  • Up to 100 tonnes 7
  • 101 to 300 tonnes 12
  • 301 to 500 tonnes 4
  • 501 to 1000 tonnes 4
  • 1001 to 1700 tonnes 4

With a balanced spread of machine sizes, we are well-placed to provide extra capacity to our customers when required. This may be a temporary requirement due to a major breakdown, maybe a sudden influx of tooling and your machines are at full capacity, perhaps you need a larger machine or a new machine delivery has let you down. Whatever the reason, we can provide you with capacity on machines to accommodate your requirements, and in some instances, we may be able to help immediately.

There are several things you should look for when choosing a moulder, for example, how long have they been in business and what is their reputation?  You should check for certifications and membership of organisations as a reputable company will seek to achieve certain standards in all areas.  Are testimonials and case studies available? Nothing tells you more about a company than the views of its customers.  Is advice provided on the selection of the best polymer and design for manufacturing? Does the company offer factory tours and operate an open-door policy? These are just some things to consider when looking for a new moulder, more detail can be found here.

Have a look at the videos below to see how we have become quite adept at moving machines.
