ASSURANCE OF QUALITY

Our QA department contains an extensive range of fully calibrated measuring equipment including a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and an Optical Measuring Machine, for precise measuring of production parts where tight tolerances are called for.

Our ERP system covers our entire operation providing full traceability. This not only ensures consistency of all your injection moulding requirements but also means we can keep track of the progress of your order through all the stages of production. In the unlikely event you should experience any problems with your plastic products or components we can check back to see when it was moulded, on which machine, which batch of material was used and even the names of the people who worked on the order!

RUTLAND PLASTICS COMPLIES WITH ISO9001:2015

Rutland Plastics is pleased to announce that the ISO standard the company has held since 1989 has been upgraded to ISO 9001:2015

The company’s Quality Management System complies with the requirements for the following scope of operations:

“The manufacture of injection and flow moulded thermoplastic components and the machining, finishing and sub-assembly of moulding to customer’s requirements. The production of moulding tools for internal use to customer’s specifications. Weight limitations for injection moulded components up to 35kg and for flow moulded components up to 48kg.”

RUTLAND PLASTICS AWARDED ISO13485:2016

Rutland Plastics has achieved ISO13485 medical standard, complementing its existing ISO9001 accreditation. This approval covers the production of non-sterile injection and flow-molded thermoplastic components for medical devices, as well as machining, finishing, and sub-assembly of moldings tailored to customer specifications. Emphasizing risk management and effective processes for safe medical device manufacturing, the certification underscores Rutland Plastics' dedication and proven capabilities in the medical sector.

Led by QC Inspector Lee Hatton, months of hard work culminated in this achievement. With an existing presence in the medical sector, the accreditation validates Rutland Plastics' business credentials through independent verification. As a player in the growing market of plastic moldings for medical use, the company aims to further develop its position, showcasing not only commitment but also the high level of service provided. This achievement highlights the company's focus on maintaining a clean mold shop supported by robust quality assurance processes.

RUTLAND PLASTICS ACHIEVE ISO14001:2015

Rutland Plastics has always strived to be green and now has the certificate to prove it. It has attained the environmental management standard ISO14001.

ISO14001 is an internationally recognised standard on environmental management. It covers all areas of an organisation and its impact on the environment; in short the aim is to achieve cleaner production. A company should not only comply with current environmental regulations and standards but also make a commitment to continuous improvement. This can include recycling, minimising waste and conserving energy. Periodic comprehensive audits are carried out to ensure continued compliance and meeting of specified goals.
